After about 2 hours and 30 driving northwards, crossing and skirting the Tiber river valley, we will enter the Tuscan countryside and arrive in Siena for our first stop.
Siena the most important city of Tuscany after Florence ,one of the country’s loveliest and best-preserved medieval towns of Italy.
Siena offers an extraordinary wealth of art, such as the Gothic cathedral – one of the few examples of Italian Gothic and the Piazza del Campo, where the Palio of Siena has taken place for more than 700 years.
This is a horse race that involves all the districts into which the city is divided. Visit the districts to learn about its history and traditions.
We will continue our day, driving through the wonderful landscape of the Chianti hills along the Chiantigiana road, the territory of the Chianti Classico extends between Florence and Siena.
A succession of hills, villages where time is stopped, fortresses, parish churches and country houses: a suggestive nature rich not only of beauty and history but also of unique and inimitable products that have made this region famous all over the world .
We will visit one of the many farms where you can see the vineyards , the cellar and of course do a tasting of the famous Chianti Classico.
